What's deleted, what's kept, and for how long:
In every case, your name, email, password, receipt photos, and
device/session data are permanently deleted with no recovery
afterward — which of the three happens below depends only on
whether anyone else shares your account.
- You're the only person on the account (a personal account, or the sole member of a company account): everything is deleted outright, immediately — the whole account, every expense, every file. Nothing is retained.
- You're on a company account with other active members, but not its owner: your personal details are deleted immediately as above, but the expenses you filed are kept — anonymized, retained indefinitely — as part of the company's own financial and audit history, the same way any business keeps its bookkeeping. Only the transaction amounts and dates remain; nothing about you personally.
- You're the owner of a company account with other active members: a company must always have an owner, so this can't be completed automatically. Your request is recorded and a person follows up by email, typically to arrange transferring ownership first.
